My name is Sophie Santolaria. I am originally from France and have lived in the UK for 9 years.  I  completed the MSc in Art Psychotherapy at Queen Margaret University in 2017. In the past 5 years I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings gaining valuable insight and experience. I am skilled at holding non-judgmental and caring spaces for individuals of all ages to support exploring life challenges and successes. My work includes running open and closed groups and experiential art therapy workshops within schools and hospitals settings, as well as working on a one to one basis.

I have worked with children and young people facing a wide range of challenges including trauma, eating disorders, anxiety and self-harming. I also have experience working with adults in offices and inpatient and outpatient hospital settings who faced a wide range of difficulties such as low mood disorder, anxiety and drug and alcohol misuse.

Art Psychotherapy has allowed me to grow as an individual. It has also helped me to better understand of how creativity can support people of any age in making sense of the world and expressing feelings securely within the realm of a therapeutic relationship.

I am HCPC registered, my register number is: AS 15951 .
